The old oak servery with its gleaming brass beer engines immediately stands out, whilst opposite the large inglenook fireplace makes its big presence felt, particularly in the colder months with its roaring fire. A viewing panel shows off the working cellar and its Roman floor. Old settles and pews create further interest, whilst there is a splendid collection of horse brass too.
A free house with a landlord passionate about real ale, means there is always plenty on tap. Local Adnams Bitter and Broadside are always available along with weekly changing guest ales. Wines do not miss out either, an enviable wine list provides for most tastes, with a choice of more than thirty wines from nine different countries. The bar also boasts a very good range of Malts and Liqueurs.
